  • 24 Weeks

Gonna hit 24 weeks tomorrow and I havent yet blogged a single thing about my pregnancy. Dunno why I didn't have the desire to but I should... I wanna be able to remember what it was like being pregnant after all that is done. Oh well. I am hoping to get a good belly shot this week and send it out as our christmas card to our family and friends. We'll see if that actually happens.

I just got back from Florida, spending a week with my Uncle Ron and Earl. It was a nice break from my daily routine here in Worcester. We got some sun and some beach time. Lots of movies, ofc... and great company.

Alright, I'm gonna try and summarize my 24 weeks journey in few words:

Positive pregnancy at 5 weeks. EDD: April 10, 2010.
    5-14 weeks: acute morning sickness
15-17: Exhaustion (no morning sickness or baby movement)
18-20: Felt baby inside but no kicking.
20-24: Baby kicking a lot - esp at night. Belly bigger as well as boobs.

Cravings: Fruits, esp ruby red grapefruit juice.

No idea if its a boy or girl. We also haven't picked out names for our kid. Got some so-so ones in mind but nothing that jumps at us. Hopefully, we'll have something to work with in next two months or so. :)

Today, I'm gonna start registering for baby stuff - I think we're gonna have a baby shower in Feb and we're gonna have it in DC. Then its baby time. :)
  • Ode to Atlantic Ocean

    The waters in Atlantic ocean
    have come traveled from afar--
just to simply to crash here and
    just to simply to return.
From here lies her warm body--
    impregnated and reborn
    with visions of Atlantic ocean
    that've come simply for her.

  • Random Tidbits

I know I have not been posting my blog entries much these days. We've pretty much abandonded xanga over Facebook and Twitter but I still like to keep my xanga handy whenever I feel like it. I've had this blog for years now - might as well keep it running until my fingers fall off or until xanga files bankuptcy. :)

A lot has been going on this past year and most of them are very exciting. I got married and so did my younger brother, Frank. Damon and I also got our new business running last week. There is still lots to be done but we're getting there. I'll be also retiring my one-woman show, starting Jan 2010 and am looking forward to several projects that we got in store. Currently, we are working on a children's book (we got three lined up) and hope to publish it this summer. We also are working on releasing printed copies of KF issues.

I've also been working with ASL TALES on one of their books and I've been asked to perform at Worldeaf Cinema Festival. Lots to do and so little time and hopefully a whole lotta fun.

I'm looking forward to what the year 2010 will bring. I have a feeling that it will be a good one. It ought to be.

  • First Day of Spring

five hundred twenty five thousand moments
how do you measure a year?
    fall back, spring forward,
gotta save time for a happy new year!
first day of spring, always be sure to
    grab some crayons to draw
cos that's the way it has always been,
    always, my young girl
    give thanks and be merry!
glad tidyings to you and you!
won't you come and sing with me?
    oh, please, now won't you?
the sun is shining down above us,
its spring and easy, all around us
    gotta pledge my allegiance
hail my marys to the church!
    i have a promise, a possbility...
with a capital P! oh, my!
    fall back, spring forward
    gotta save our good times.
